Now on I can see that some notebook makers are supported but not Dell. Anybody knows why this happens to mobile cards/drivers only? I had no troubles downloading and installing original ATI drivers for my Dimension 8400 (ATI Radeon X800). Well, on the other hand if Dell drivers for this ATI Mobility Radeon X1400/256mb work fine, I should have no reasons to complain.

Well, on the other hand if Dell drivers for this ATI Mobility Radeon X1400/256mb work fine, I should have no reasons to complain. So the 6.9 catalyst driver from ATI website works super. I wasn't really sure how to remove original 'Dell' driver but I noticed there was this small removal-tool program in the Add/Remove Programs, I just ran it and it removed all ATI software. Then the reinstallation of ATI software was no problem at all. And from this moment on, if I want to remove the ATI drivers what's the best way? Just straightforward from Add/Remove Programs or does ATI offer a software-removal tool?

I've got it for my Dimension 8400 (ATI Radeon X800) but will it work for ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 too? For 7.5 Cat's I prefer the 7.9(latest) Cat's for my 6400/E1505's X1400 card(using the latest A17 BIOS from here) of course the 7.9's won't work with the X1250 express. Dolby digital plus driver. Once you have that downloaded & installed them, reboot & goto windows updates, there are 3 patches for the 2.0 framework 5 Then reboot & goto: to download the 7.9 CAT's 6. Uninstall last years Dell ATI drivers 7. Install the 7.9 Cat's 9. Enjoy Better yet, download the A17 BIOS 2.0 Framework 7.9 CAT's all first. That way, you'll have, everything you need. Keep your ATI's from Dell installed until you have the A17 BIOS & 2.0 Net framework installed & updated from winddows updates. Omega's ATI cat's do work, google for them, if you want them.
